Why Australia Just Repealed ALL Carbon Tax Laws After Just Two Years

Australia has been a battleground for Carbon Tax Debates since about 1988. Six Australian Political leaders have either won or lost elections mainly on this topic. Nobody knows better the details of the cost of trying to stop global warming than the Australians.

Australians were against Carbon Taxes and Renewable Energy taxes. But their representatives thought they knew better and passed them anyway. The voters did not forget.  At the next election, in 2014, the Prime Minister and Parliamentarians were elected on a promise to repeal the Carbon Tax laws.  They did repeal them in July 2014.

Here is how it went down:

As an aside, nobody would have expected this:  Al Gore appeared during the carbontax repeal discussions, alongside industrialist Clive Palmer. Al Gore said to repeal the carbon tax laws!   Al Gore saw how unpopular the Carbon Tax laws were, and realized public opinion was threatening the Renewal Energy Tax.  That Renewable Energy tax is intended to provide $2.7 Million of subsidies that Al Gore’s Venture Capital company will get contracts to perform in Austrailia, along with contracts for retrofits for the Coal Mines, the Iron Mines and Steel Plants and the Aluminum (Bauxite) Mines and Aluminum plants.

It turns out that Al Gore’s ethics can be bought, the same as the “scientists” who promote the unfounded fear of Global Warming.  It is Science itself that these “Scientists” are abandoning.   It is Al Gore who Global Warming believers will not abandon.  Al Gore MUST be right, because he got a Nobel Prize and an Academy Award!  However, it has come down to this as global warming has turned to Global Cooling for the long run.  Question: do you believe your eyes and other senses that show you the real climate, or do you believe Al Gore and the weather he predicts that is not happening day after week after month after year after decade? Choose from Reality or fairy tale… you can live in one or the other, but fairy tales come to an end. Reality is forever.

Finally, there is clear evidence that the Australian Bureau of Meteorology made intentional changes to Actual Measured Temperature Records in order to change cooling to warming over the last 100 years. When challenged, the ABM said they thought the measuring station “might have been moved”. However, the measuring station had NEVER been moved, and past temperatures had been deliberately lowered by as much as 1.8% Celsius going back from 1979 to 1913 because they did not comply with the preconceived Global Warming scenario. This was called “Homogenization”, or blending to match other measuring station data. There are calls in August 2014 for heads to roll in the organization for not using the raw temperature measurements.

Why Water Vapor Dominates Earth’s Temperatures with the Sun

Water Vapor at higher altitudes has been decreasing without an explanation so far.  What happens to water vapor when it disappears? Most of it stays close to the surface. It becomes precipitation, OR, it becomes clouds. Water vapor that condenses into water droplets becomes clouds, releasing heat, a negative feedback, because heated air holds more water vapor. This re-heating contributes to the stability of clouds by slowing their formation. Some of the droplets combine to precipitate as rain or snow, and may make it to the surface before being evaporated again by higher temperatures closer to the surface – also a negative feedback, because evaporation absorbs heat, cooling the air, reducing the capacity of air to contain water vapor. The drops or ice get bigger and more numerous as they fall.  However, if the condensed water becomes LOW CLOUDS, then these clouds absorb and re-radiate heat from land and water surfaces, becoming stable. This cloud (suspended water droplets) greenhouse effect keeps substantial surface radiation from escaping into space at night, but clouds are even more effective at reflecting the sun’s radiation during the day. The cooling reflective effect of clouds seem to dominate. Henrik Svensmark’s model for Solar Magnetic Fields (closely follows sunspot numbers) affecting low cloud formation on Earth is being reinforced by other researchers. It is essentially informative to read Dr. Roy Spencer, where he pointed out the powerful influence of a slight change in cloud cover in his 2010 book intro of The Great Global Warming Blunder: How Mother Nature Fooled the World’s Top Climate Scientists. He writes:

“The most obvious way for warming to be caused naturally is for small, natural fluctuations in the circulation patterns of the atmosphere and ocean to result in a 1% or 2% decrease in global cloud cover. Clouds are the Earth’s sunshade, and if cloud cover changes for any reason, you have global warming — or global cooling.”

There really is nothing new today in the Global Warming Debate, including the arrogant single mindedness of the promoters of CO2 warming theory, who choose to discount, distort or ignore much larger drivers of Earth’s climate and temperature. This is especially true of the huge quantum absorption and release of heat as water changes phases in the classic water cycle. The newly discovered indirect effect of solar activity on clouds in this water cycle explain that the Sun is THE master of global climate change. Oh, yes, politics, as usual uses distraction by focusing on the heat storage capacity of CO2, while those effects are insignificant compared to water.

Human Influence is in Non-Industrialized Places

I expect to see this chart, and other revealing charts at the ICCC9 in Las Vegas July 7-10.  See you there. This should be the year to get the broader media to pay attention to scientific attempts to improve the climate change models so they actually predict what happens, IF THAT IS EVEN POSSIBLE. The Earth’s climate is so complex, and there are so many localized effects, that I seriously doubt we can make accurate useful predictions on a scale of 10’s of years. But we keep trying. The IPCC Climate Change models based on CO2 levels are obviously too simplistic, because they are falling short of their own expectations.

Where does human influence come in? If there is a human effect, and there must be something, perhaps the largest influence is from particulates and emissions from manmade fires. The exponentially exploding populations that burn wood and clear land are the biggest contributors to pollution of the air.  They have been dumping increasing amounts of particles and gasses into the atmosphere. These are NON-Industrialized societies.  The “Hockey Stick” bend  to higher temperatures in Al Gore’s CO2 caused temperature graph occurred at about 1950.  What happened in about 1950?  Modern Medicine began in 1950 with penicillin and other antibiotics.

Antbiotics, modern medicine, and Sanitation and Clean water have been brought to non-industrialized parts of the world to save lives, and they have done so. Non-Industrialized societies do not exercise population control as the industrialized societies do, so natural deaths were the only control.  Since 1950, the world population has exponentially increased, especially in the non-insustrialized societies, so their contribution to pollution and destruction of nature has exponentially risen, while industrialized societies have limited their populations and consciously cleaned up their pollution contributions. To make a significant difference in human-caused pollution that might affect climate, the non-industrialized societies must be engaged. Instead of harrying industrialized societies for their pollution, the focus should be on the vastly greater non-industrialized societies for their rapidly increasing pollution and destruction of CO2 absorbing greenery. After all, our common goal is a clean and sustainable environment for everyone, is it not? Or is it political and economic gain for the few in industrialized societies?
